Walker Martin of Eaton High School recently joined the Loden Sports Outlier Sessions podcast to talk about everything from athlete development, to blocking out the noise and going about your business, to the importance of athleticism on a baseball field and training in-season. Leaving no stone unturned, he breaks down his experience growing up in a small town in Colorado, how he takes pride in representing Colorado, and how special it was to play on an all-Colorado club (Slammers Duman) at the WWBA in Atlanta in 2022.

The 2023 MLB Draft
As of today, Walker is hitting a ludicrous .654 in 18 games for the undefeated Eaton Reds. He has 16 home runs, including 5 in his last two games. Between March 25 and April 15, Walker homered in 9-straight games - 1 short of the National Record. Walker is well on his way to becoming one of the highest drafted high school position players in state history. His journey is one that all Coloradans should follow and take pride in.
