If you haven’t already, you’ll be receiving an email this week with access to your Slammers Dashboard profile. We’re excited about this!
The Slammers Dashboard has been created as a place for all of your athlete’s data to live so that you can track and monitor the development of your athlete on key metrics over-time and compare to age-averages for your athlete's peer group. Understand that there are A LOT of unique ways to have success on a baseball field. Improving where you are below average or average will only raise the ceiling for what you can do on the baseball field.
Also, check out this video for a walkthrough for how to create your log-in and everything related to the dashboard.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Improvement in many important performance metrics is tied to biological maturation. Patience is critical in the development of your athlete.
Our hope is that providing access to this data will help guide your focus areas in training. This ISN'T a tool to predict future performance. This is a tool to know your player - lean into your strengths and target improving your weaknesses.
Be patient with us, we're still ironing out some of the kinks. We're excited to share this with you and hope it is informative for your continued development.

Data Inclusion
For the time being, data included in profiles is primarily from the calendar year 2023.

Profile
Slammer Score – A number between 20 and 80 that provides an indicator of where a player stands relative to their peer group (Slammer Score is dynamic to age and the age averages of its inputs). Inputs that factor into the Slammer Score: Loden Grade, Hit Grade, and Pitch Grade. 50 is the average Slammer Score at each age group. The higher the number, the better.
Loden Grade – A number between 20 and 80 that provides context to the players most recent Loden Score relative to their peer group. If a 14-year-old has a 50 Loden Grade, that means their Loden Score is average for their age group. The higher the number, the better.
Hit Grade – A number between 20 and 80 that provides context to the players most recent session Hit Score relative to their peer group. If a 14-year-old has a 50 Hit Grade, that means their most recent session Hit score is average for their age group. The higher the number, the better.
Pitch Grade – A number between 20 and 80 that provides context to the players most recent session Pitch Score relative to their peer group. If a 14-year-old has a 50 Hit Grade, that means their most recent session Pitch score is average for their age group. The higher the number, the better.
Athlete
Power – Power is as good as gold for any competitive athlete. It is correlated to how hard we throw, how hard we hit, goals scored, yards after catch in football, and other various markers of success in a number of sports. It is the intersection of speed and strength. For athletes 14 and younger, this number is a Junior Power score and is comparative to the average 14-year-old athlete (6 is average). For athletes 15 and older, this number is comparative to the average 22-year-old competitive athlete (6 is average). (All scores are 0-12).
Quickness – Quickness is an indicator of elasticity. How quickly can an athlete execute and repeat their power? For athletes 14 and younger, this number is a Junior Quickness score and is comparative to the average 14-year-old athlete (6 is average). For athletes 15 and older, this number is comparative to the average 22-year-old competitive athlete (6 is average). (All scores are 0-12).
Speed – Speed is pretty self-explanatory. The first of the Loden Score traits to appear in younger athletes, speed sets the bar for what the engine of the athlete can become. This score is an indicator of top-end running speed. For athletes 14 and younger, this number is a Junior Speed score and is comparative to the average 14-year-old athlete (6 is average). For athletes 15 and older, this number is comparative to the average 22-year-old competitive athlete (6 is average). (All scores are 0-12).
Loden Score – The Loden Score is an indicator of raw athleticism in an athlete. What kind of engine does this athlete have under the hood? Consider the Loden Score to be the foundation that each athlete has to work off of – it’s not the end-all-be-all, but the Loden Score is a good indicator for potential in an athlete. For athletes 14 and younger, this number is a Junior Loden Score and is comparative to the average 14-year-old athlete (6 is average). For athletes 15 and older, this number is comparative to the average 22-year-old competitive athlete (6 is average). (All scores are 0-12).
10 yd – How fast the player ran their first 10 yards during their most recent 30-yard sprint test (seconds).
30 yd – How fast the player ran their 30-yard sprint test (seconds).
Rebound Jump Height – The average jump height of 3 jumps from the players most recent Rebound Jumps test using the Loden Sports Performance Lab App (inches).
Rebound Jump RSI – The average RSI of 3 jumps from the players most recent Rebound Jumps test using the Loden Sports Performance Lab App. RSI is a measure of quickness or elasticity in an athlete, when tested regularly, a downtrend in RSI can be an indicator of fatigue or injury (a ratio of flight time over contact time during the 3 jumps).
Rebound Jump Power – The average jump power of 3 jumps from the players most recent Rebound Jumps test using the Loden Sports Performance Lab App (Loden Power Points).
Hit
Session Score – The average score based on hit-specific criteria of all hit balls from the players most recent session (0-10).
Avg Exit Velocity – The average of all hit balls from the players most recent session (mph).
Max Exit Velocity – The hardest hit ball from the players most recent session (mph).
Avg Launch Angle – The average launch angle of all hit balls from the players most recent session (degrees).
Backspin % - The percentage of all hit balls with backspin during the most recent session (ball spinning between 10am-2pm).

Pop Up % - The percentage of all hit balls categorized as pop ups during the most recent session (%).
Snow Balls % - The percentage of all hit balls categorized as a Snow Ball during the most recent session. A Snow Ball is the gem of a batting practice session. A swing score of a 9 or higher is required for a swing to be categorized as a Snow Ball. (Things that help: 90+ mph exit velocity, hit a line drive or fly ball, backspin for optimal trajectory).
Barrels % - The percentage of all hit balls categorized as a Barrel during the most recent session. Not quite a Snow Ball, a Barrel is any swing that registers a swing score of an 8 or higher. (Things that help: 90+ mph exit velocity, hit a line drive or fly ball, backspin for optimal trajectory).
Jr Snow Balls % - The percentage of all hit balls categorized as a Jr Snow Ball during the most recent session. Created for our younger players who still have some growing to do, a Jr Snow Ball is any swing that registers a swing score of an 7 or higher. (Things that help: hit it hard, hit a line drive or fly ball, backspin for optimal trajectory).
Jr Barrels % - The percentage of all hit balls categorized as a Jr Barrel during the most recent session. Created for our younger players who still have some growing to do, a Jr Barrel is any swing that registers a swing score of an 6 or higher. (Things that help: hit it hard, hit a line drive or fly ball, backspin for optimal trajectory).
